ABOUT
Described as “a radiant new voice in the choral world,” Aeternum is Northern California’s newest professional vocal ensemble, co-founded in 2024 by Artistic Director, Bailey Cooke, and Executive Director, Brady Egbert. Drawing on the finest choral talent from both the US and the UK, Aeternum is quickly redefining what’s possible in choral music.
Our work bridges centuries of musical tradition with bold, contemporary storytelling. From Hildegard von Bingen to Caroline Shaw, we present fresh interpretations of beloved masterworks while championing living and underrepresented composers. Recent programs include Echoes of Light, a sold-out debut series praised for its “immersive sonic world” and “imaginative programming”, and the upcoming Centuries of Sound, a sweeping journey through sacred music across the ages.
Aeternum is also deeply committed to music education and community engagement. We partner with local public schools, Title I campuses, and public libraries to offer in-school workshops and hands-on mentorship. These initiatives aim to address the widening gap in arts education and to foster a lifelong love of singing among young musicians. With a growing presence across the Bay Area—including upcoming performances in Napa, San Francisco, Marin, and the East Bay, at the heart of everything is a simple belief: choral music has the power to heal, connect, and transform.
